What Love Can Do

Posted on 10:22 PM by Unknown
On this, the day of my 700th blog post (whodathunk it?), I can think of no more appropriate way to illustrate what this blog is really all about than to share these photos with you. Although I never care (a mild way of saying I HATE it) for having my picture taken, I am so grateful to our friend Lenore who whipped out her camera this afternoon to snap a few of the girls and I. When she sent them to me this evening I just sat and stared at them for a little while, realizing I was seeing on screen the transformative power of love, right there before my eyes.

This, folks, is what love can do. Why do the tears spring forth as I think of all these precious daughters of ours have missed all these years? How they are now drinking eagerly from the pool that is the only one that can ever truly fill any of us up!! Ignore the fat lady in the middle with the classless "Mom Uniform" of an awful green tshirt and jeans, and see how God has worked in the hearts of 2 little girls who were so terrified, so hurt, so hardened. We were incapable of making any of this happen, only God could.

I am living it, and I still am sitting here in disbelief at the greatest magic of all.

Love.
