The rainy day was a good one for visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We spent about 3 1/2 hours there, and I think the kids discovered more about what they don't like than what they do like! Hahaha! They really were totally uninterested in Egyptian artifacts, which I thought Kenny might enjoy as he has a fascination with that time period. They were not at all into most works of art from the earlier centuries. However, they were really very interested in the staged rooms with period furniture, wall hangings, beds and other art work. All of them agreed that they enjoyed seeing how ornate things were in some time periods and in certain places...and yet all also said they preferred the Colonial American rooms the most. That was funny to me. After a quick zip through the highly overpriced gift shop, we headed back to the hotel room where I nursed a fever, and yes, whined a little too :-p
